Bloomberg place

Ruddy are presented with a letter of thanks & appreciation from Michael R. Bloomberg as the new Bloomberg European headquarters approach the final stages.

Bloomberg Place comprises two buildings, connected by glazed bridges across a retail arcade that bisects the site, reinstating an historic route that once connected Cannon Street with Watling Street. At ten storeys, the buildings height complements neighbouring structures and protects views of St Paul’s Cathedral, with a two-storey colonnaded base, six office floors and two levels set back above the cornice line at the very top.

Our package comprises the complete fit-out of the buildings 7 cores above ground, including 400 superloo washrooms, wall finishes, feature entrances, ceilings, all services coordinated with full ED modelling including the largest vacuum drainage system in Europe. We have also supplied and fitted over 1,000 bespoke doorsets throughout the building with enhanced thickness to achieve details and satisfy standards involving mechanical handling due to weight and sizes. Finishes include timber veneer, lacquer and feature coverings to match adjacent areas.

Oct 2017 – Testimonial from Michael R. Bloomberg

”As we approach the final stages of construction, i want to personally thank you for your hard work on the new Bloomberg European headquarters.

Building the facility in the heart of the City of London, while preserving the ancient artifacts uncovered during excavation, has been a monumental task requiring an extraordinary level of coordination. Your outstanding efforts made it possible, and i am grateful for everything you did to bring this complex project to life.

Please extend my appreciation to each person on your team who worked at the building site. I hope that, in the years to come, they will be proud to tell friends and family that they helped to create a new London icon representing the workplace of the future.

Many thanks again for contributing your time and talent to this endeavor.”
